Odyssey Accelerator Firewall Configuration

The HTClient (Odyssey Internet Accelerator) MUST be allowed access to the internet
Firewall Software/Hardware is designed to only allow specific traffic to the internet
If you are using a firewall, you must configure it to allow the htclient access

Some Common firewall solutions include:
     ZoneAlarm
     Norton Internet Security (Norton Personal Firewall)
     WindowsXP firewall SP1 *WindowsXP with Service Pack 1*
     WindowsXP firewall SP2 *WindowsXP with Service Pack 2*

Many firewall software solutions will prompt the first time a program attempts to access the internet.

In this case verify that the program asking permission is either HTClient or Odyssey Internet Accelerator, and choose allow access.

If you have WindowsXP with Service Pack 1 you must disable the firewall altogether to allow the Accelerator to function correctly.

If you do not feel comfortable without a firewall, you can upgrade to WindowsXP Service Pack 2 which includes a much more robust
firewall implementation.
