Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Hospice. They are members of our community who donate their time to Hospice. There is no charge for their services. *

Volunteers can help the Hospice in a number of ways:

  • Provide relief time to family members - they can sit with a patient while a family member has an opportunity to visit with friends or get a much needed rest.
  • Provide bereavement follow-up to families after the death of their loved one.
  • Provide support in the Hospice office by answering telephones, assisting with mailings, etc.
  • Help out with fund raising activities.
  • Help provide coverage at the Hospice booths at various functions.

A training program is provided for all volunteers. For more information, call the Volunteer Coordinator at (607) 753-9105.

* - Volunteers serve as a part of the total hospice team. All patient and family information is treated with the strictest confidence.
