The Hospice Foundation of Cortland County, Inc. hosts two fundraisers each year. In the spring, an annual dinner is held. Before the Christmas season, the "Light of My Life " tree on the Village Green in Homer NY is lit and remains lit throughout the holiday season. Anyone can participate in this activity.

A tree dedication is held on the first Friday in December in conjunction with Christmas on the Green which is sponsored by the Village of Homer. For a $5 donation, your loved one's name will be placed on a display board listing all the people being remembered. Each donation of $5 represents a "light" on the tree.
