Started by eight certified hospice programs, spanning the north country, southern tier and central New York have banded together to form a provider alliance to promote the use of hospice services for terminally ill patients within the region. The Alliance members serve the residents of thirteen counties from the Canadian border to the New York/Pennsylvania line. Each hospice program retains its individual identity and program autonomy as it engages in collaborative developments. Current members of the Upstate New York Hospice Alliance include:

• Hands of Hospice - this site links users to a hospice chat room, information on hospices around the world, employment information, and a question and answer forum where professionals, as well as lay people, pose questions.
• OncoLink Psychosocial Support and Personal Experiences targets cancer patients and caregivers with information on spirituality, coping with loss and grief, end-of-life issues, pain management, and general coping strategies.
• Hospice Homepage - this is Dale Larson's collection of ideas from hospices across the country. Categories include: alliances and networking, bereavement, clinical, community education, fundraising, marketing and referrals, special programs, staff support, team and volunteers.
• National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization Homepage - Information on this site includes end-of-life issues, conference listings, discussion groups, and links to home pages for hospices across the country.
• Hospice Web - This site helps people find a hospice in their area, answers frequently asked questions about hospice, and offers access to hospice web sites across the country.
