Step 1: Click on start, go to settings, and
click on Control Panel to open it.

Step 2: Double-click on the Network icon.
There should only be three network components
installed "Client for Microsoft Networks, Dial up Adapter,
and TCP/IP."
To remove the other components, click on them so they are
highlighted, then click remove.
After you've done that, click on TCP/IP so it is highlighted,
then click on the properties button.

If you are missing one of these network components, you will
need to add them.
However, if you already have all these components, you can go on
to the next page.
If you need to add Client for Microsoft Networks
1. Click Add
2. Click on Client
3. Click Add again
4. Click on Microsoft
5. Make sure Client for Microsoft Networks is
highlighted in the Network Clients box.
6. Click on OK to add Client for Microsoft Networks
If you need to add Dial up Adapter
1. Click Add
2. Find Microsoft in the Manufacturers list and click on it
3. Dial up Adapter should be highlighted in the Network Adapters
box
4. Click on OK to add Dial up Adapter
If you need to add TCP/IP
1. Click Add
2. Click Protocol
3. Click Add again
4. Choose Microsoft from the Manufacturers list by clicking it
5. Click on TCP/IP in the Network Protocols list so it is
highlighted
6. Click OK to add TCP/IP
