How To Change Your Password |
You will need to change your passwords on two different servers.
zeus.odyssey.net is the password you use to dial into Odyssey and
mail.odyssey.net is the server your e-mail is on. You CAN have two different
passwords if you like, it is up to you. Enter the correct server name in the
instructions below.
Windows 3.1x Users:
- you will need to download a telnet client like Ewan
- Unzip it and run the installation program.
- When you run it for the first time, you will need to make a new connection to Odyssey Networks.
- First Click on New to create a new connection.
- For the name field type in:
Odyssey Networks
- The Network Address field should read:
zeus.odyssey.net or
mail.odyssey.net
- Leave everything else alone and click on Ok
- After you make the connection, select Odyssey Networks from the Connect to Site window.
- You should connect to Odyssey Networks in a few seconds.
- Proceed to ALL Users section
Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP Users:
- Go to 'Start' then 'Run' and type in 'telnet zeus.odyssey.net' in the open
box and click ok.
- Proceed to ALL Users section.
ALL Users:
- Log in with your username and password.
- You should be able to log in and then at the
zeus.odyssey.net$ prompt, type in passwd
- Enter in your old password
- Enter in your new password
- Enter in your new password again
Your password has been changed. It will become effective next time you log in. You will have to update any logon scripts
or saved passwords you are using to use your new password.
