How Put A Web Page Online

NOTE: If you have your own domain on Odyssey's servers please contact support for instructions as to what server to upload your pages.

PPP Users

1. If you are using Windows then you should download ws_ftp32.zip, if you do not already have it.
2. After you unzip it and install it. Make a New connection to zeus.odyssey.net.
• First Click on New to create a new connection.
• For the Profile Name field type in: Odyssey Networks
• The Hostname field should read: zeus.odyssey.net
• Type your username in the User ID field
• Type your password in the Password field
• Make sure Save Password and Auto Save Config are checked.
3. WS_FTP should connect and then list your directory at Odyssey and on your local PC.
4. Make a directory called html_docs. Do this by clicking the MkDir button, type in html_docs, and click Ok.
5. Change to the html_docs directory by double-clicking on it.
6. Upload all you .html documents into the html_docs directory, by highlighting the correct files in the left window, and then clicking the --> button. You will also need to upload any pictures that you use.
7. If you name your main page index.html the people accessing your page do not have to type it in since this is the default home page name on the Internet.
8. Please notify us when you have uploaded your pages. If you wish, we will make a link to it from our subscribers homepage. e-mail rob@odyssey.net when you are ready and let me know how you want it listed on our Subscribers Homepage.
9. We will notify you when your page is online.
10. Your page URL will be: http://www.odyssey.net/subscribers/Your_Login_Name/index.html (if you have a domain on our server, the address will be: http://www.yourdomain.name)
